The SXCF Series Impulse Voltage Generator is designed for high-voltage impulse testing of electrical equipment under lightning and switching overvoltage conditions.
It supports lightning impulse full-wave, chopped-wave, and switching impulse voltage tests, and can generate eight standard impulse waveforms, including lightning, switching, oscillating, steep-front, and transformer induced switching waves.
With technical parameters compliant with Chinese national standards and IEC standards, the SXCF Series provides a reliable solution for insulation performance testing of high-voltage electrical equipment.
Test Objects: Power transformers, high-voltage insulators, HV cables, surge arresters, switchgears, CT/PT, bushings and other high-voltage equipment.
Application Sites: High-voltage laboratories, third-party testing institutes, electrical equipment factories and power grid research centers.
Testing Purposes: Type testing and routine factory testing.

1. What is the working principle of the SXCY Impulse Voltage Generator?
The impulse generator stores electrical energy in multiple impulse capacitors and releases the stored energy through controlled triggering and series discharge to produce a high-voltage impulse.

The SXCY Series can be configured with different numbers of stages according to the required output voltage. The product range shown includes configurations from 1–4 stages up to 18–24 stages.

4. What is the capacitor configuration?
The system uses impulse capacitors together with grading capacitors and wave-shaping components. Capacitor values are selected according to the required voltage and impulse waveform.

Low inductance in the return circuit helps reduce unwanted circuit effects during the very rapid impulse discharge process, supporting more accurate and stable waveform generation.
