It combines GIS high-voltage withstand testing, partial discharge measurement and insulation diagnostics into a configurable testing solution for GIS manufacturers, utilities, laboratories and commissioning companies.
The concept follows the current direction of GIS testing, where withstand testing and PD measurement are increasingly considered complementary rather than completely independent tests.

Depending on the test being performed, customers may encounter standards such as IEC 62271-203, IEC 60060-1 and IEC 60270. The exact standard and test procedure should be confirmed according to the project specification and GIS application.
IEC 60270 is associated with conventional apparent-charge measurement using a suitable measuring circuit, while UHF detection uses high-frequency electromagnetic signals generated by PD inside GIS. The two approaches have different measurement principles and application characteristics.
A customized GIS testing platform can be designed to support multiple PD measurement methods where required.

Yes. High-voltage GIS testing systems are normally engineered according to the customer's actual GIS parameters rather than selected only by voltage class. For example, commercially available systems cover GIS testing at different voltage levels, while higher-voltage applications require corresponding changes to the test circuit, insulation design, capacity and site configuration.
