The High Current Temperature Rise Test System is designed for high-current thermal performance testing of electrical equipment and current-carrying components.
The system generates stable high AC current and applies continuous rated current to the test object to evaluate its temperature rise, thermal performance and current-carrying capability.
It is widely applicable to HV and LV switchgear, busbars, bus ducts, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, contactors, current transformers, cable joints, terminals and transformer-related components.
The system can integrate a high-current generator, voltage regulating system, temperature acquisition unit, control cabinet, data acquisition system and industrial computer for automatic or manual operation.
The system can be engineered for different current capacities. Commercial systems in this category commonly cover several thousand amperes and can be customized for higher-current applications.
Q: What is a high-current temperature rise test?
It is a test in which rated or specified high current is continuously applied to an electrical product to evaluate the heat generated by current flow and determine whether the resulting temperature rise meets the applicable requirements.
Q: What equipment can be tested?
The system can be configured for switchgear, busbars, circuit breakers, contactors, current transformers, cable joints, terminals and other current-carrying electrical equipment.
Q: Can the test current be customized?
Yes. Output current can be designed according to the test object and project requirements.
Q: Can the system perform long-duration testing?
Yes. The system can be configured for continuous current loading and heat-run testing.
