Gas-Filled Partial Discharge Withstand Voltage Test Set For GIS GIL AC High Voltage Test Equipment For Switchgear Factory Testing
The SXGTU Series Gas-Insulated PD-Free High Voltage Test System is specifically developed for factory and field commissioning withstand voltage & partial discharge (PD) testing of high-voltage, large-capacity GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and GIL (Gas Insulated Transmission Lines).
Featuring a fully sealed and shielded high-voltage structure, the system guarantees an exceptionally low partial discharge level of 1–3 pC, providing outstanding accuracy, safety, and reliability. By adding optional high-voltage bushing interfaces, it can also easily adapt to perform high-voltage testing on traditional power equipment.
Ultra-Low Partial Discharge: Overall PD level is strictly controlled within 1–3 pC, ensuring high precision and interference-free measurements.
Fully Sealed & Safe Operation: High-voltage components are fully enclosed in a shielded space, delivering maximum safety for operators and equipment.
Compact & Lightweight: Small footprint and light weight reduce space requirements and facilitate easy site deployment.
Multi-Functional Design: Integrated with an internal HV isolating switch and versatile high-voltage bushing interfaces for multi-purpose testing.
Direct & Easy Connection: Designed for direct flange connection to test objects (GIS/GIL), significantly streamlining the setup procedure.
Rugged & Durable for Transport: Heavy-duty structure designed to withstand long-distance transportation under complex conditions.
Optimized Power Efficiency: Minimizes requirements on site power supply capacity.
Factory testing and preventive maintenance for GIS and GIL equipment.
High-voltage withstand and PD testing for power transformers, circuit breakers, and conventional substation switchgear.
Quality control in power equipment manufacturing facilities and high-voltage research laboratories.

A:A GIS Partial Discharge & Withstand Voltage Test System is an advanced high-voltage diagnostic solution developed for insulation verification of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Gas Insulated Lines (GIL).
The system combines AC withstand voltage testing and partial discharge measurement functions in one integrated platform. By applying controlled high-voltage excitation and monitoring insulation responses, it helps identify internal defects, installation issues, and insulation weaknesses before equipment is put into operation, ensuring safe and reliable performance of high-voltage switchgear systems.
A:AC withstand voltage testing is a critical insulation verification procedure for GIS equipment. It is used to evaluate whether the internal insulation system can withstand rated operating voltage, temporary overvoltage, and electrical stress conditions during service.
Through this test, potential insulation defects caused by manufacturing processes, transportation, installation, or assembly can be detected in advance, reducing the risk of unexpected failures after energization.
A:Yes, absolutely. Beyond our standard line (100kV to 1000kV and 50–2000 kVA), we offer fully customized engineering solutions to match your exact testing standards and site specifications.
A:The system utilizes a fully sealed, high-voltage shielded enclosure combined with gas insulation to eliminate ambient electromagnetic interference and corona discharge. Every unit undergoes rigorous factory acceptance testing (FAT) to verify its PD level before dispatch.
A:Yes. By adding optional high-voltage bushing adapters, the system seamlessly connects to traditional power equipment—such as transformers and circuit breakers—providing a flexible, multi-purpose testing platform.
